Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Plan C’: A New Film Company

Jennifer Aniston Starts New Film Company | Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston’s making some big-screen moves: She and Kristin Hahn – both formerly part of Plan B films with Aniston’s ex-husbandBrad Pitt – are forming their own production company, Echo, Variety reported Tuesday.

“We’re drawn to stories about people finding their voice and finding their way because they help us … [make] sense of our lives through the stories of others,” Aniston said in a statement. “That’s why we chose the name Echo, to echo back an idea, a challenge, something that resonates through all of us.”

According to the showbiz paper, the company will have a first-look deal with Universal Pictures.

The two have already reportedly acquired the rights to several projects – some designed as star vehicles for Aniston.

They include the rights to Jane Fallon’s U.K. bestseller Getting Rid of Matthew (in which a woman tries to manipulate her married lover into reconciling with his wife) and Laura Dave’s The Divorce Party (in which a couple celebrates their 35th wedding anniversary by announcing their breakup).

The duo are also tackling true-life stories, including Counter-Clockwise (about a Harvard aging study) and The Goree Girls (about a wrongly accused woman who starts an all-female band in prison).

Aniston is currently filming Marley & Me with Owen Wilson in Miami.
